Apparel Consultant in Los Angeles
Hands-on apparel and fashion production consulting from inside the LA manufacturing base — sourcing, tech packs, costing, quality and production management.
What an apparel consultant actually does
The title covers a lot of ground, so here is ours plainly. We are the production side of a brand that does not have one yet: the person who knows what a factory needs to see, what a quote should contain, what the sample is supposed to prove, and what happens when the fabric is late.
We are not a designer, not an agency, and not a factory. We do not mark up your production or take a commission from the people who make your goods — which is the only way the advice can be straight.
When brands call us
- They have designs and no idea how to get them made
- Factories will not quote, or the quotes are wildly inconsistent
- The minimums they are being given do not fit the business they have
- Samples keep coming back wrong and nobody can say why
- The margin on paper is not the margin in reality
- Orders are growing and the supply chain is starting to fail
- They have been burned once and do not want to repeat it
Why Local
What Being in Los Angeles Changes
Most of this work is remote. The part that is not is the part that matters.

On the Factory Floor
- Vetting you cannot do over email
- Capability and capacity seen, not claimed
- Problems caught while they are small
- Relationships that get your order prioritised

Fit & Sample Sessions
- Measured against spec in the room
- Corrections decided on the spot
- Rounds cut rather than repeated
- Decisions documented the same day

Fabric & Trims
- Hand and weight judged physically
- Jobber market worked properly
- Lab dips and strike-offs approved
- Reorderable sources identified

How to Work With Us
Single consultation
One focused session on a specific problem — a costing review, a factory shortlist, a tech pack critique, a sample that is not right. You leave with written next steps.
Monthly advisory
Standing sessions plus access between them. For brands in development or early production who need experience on call rather than a full-time hire.
Full project or production management
We run it: sourcing, development, costing, POs, factory management, inspection and delivery. You stay the decision maker; we do the work.
